Computer Access
The Library has over 100 public access computers throughout the building with internet access. A National City Public Library card is needed to access the computers. For details on obtaining a library card or a computer access card click here.
Wi-Fi Access
National City Public Library provides free filtered wireless access to the internet for users with portable devices. By using our wireless network, users hereby agree to abide by the Library's Internet Use Policy and Rules of Conduct.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
As with any network infrastructure not all devices are compatible. Please note that Library staff cannot provide technical assistance in configuring your portable device nor perform any troubleshooting over your device. Please consult your user's manual or contact other support services offered by your hardware or software provider. To connect to the Wi-Fi select NCPLWireless and agree to the waiver.
Wi-Fi Network Security
Communication over a wireless network is not secure. The service is offered for you convenience and its use is at your own risk. The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of your equipment or privacy of your data and communication. While using the wireless network, you are solely responsible for:
- Taking appropriate caution with personal information (credit card numbers, passwords and any other sensitive information) being transmitted as it could be intercepted by another wireless user.
- Protecting your device with current anti-virus and personal firewall software.
