National City is now offering the Free Ride Around National City (FRANC) shuttle service. The FRANC can be scheduled through the Circuit smartphone app available through Google Play or Apple Store (linked below) and/or by hailing down the shuttle.  

The service is available:

• Monday through Friday – 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday – 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The FRANC electric shuttle service offers a range of benefits to the community. It creates local jobs, provides free transportation options, and serves as a first/last-mile solution to existing transit hubs. The on-demand service is 100% electric, avoiding greenhouse gas emissions and reducing vehicle miles traveled (VMT).

Circuit (www.ridecircuit.com) operates the FRANC and ensures people ride together in the same direction, further optimizing efficiency and minimizing environmental impact. Gratuities for Circuit drivers are appreciated but never required.
