PlanetBids is a free electronic bidding system that will provide convenience to vendors. Licensed contractors must register in order to qualify to bid. As a registered vendor with the City of National City, you will be notified of bid alerts, be able to download plans and specs, view published addenda, submit bids electronically, and view bid results. In addition, beginning July 1, 2014, contractors are required to register with the Department of Industrial Relations before bidding on public works contracts in California.

Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act

The City of National City has adopted the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Act by Ordinance No. 2016-2413, § 1, 10-4-2016 and is subject to the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Commission procedures for the bidding and awarding of public works contracts.  The City of National City invites California licensed contractors that wish to be included in the 2019 list of qualified contractors for contracts less than $200,000 to complete the application form in the link below.  Complete the required information on the form and submit the form via email to tgonzales@nationalcityca.gov.
