Did you receive a weed abatement notice?  Well, most likely Fire Prevention Services, Inc., a contract agency for the National City Fire Department, recently performed an inspection of your property to see if it required weed abatement, brush management, or public nuisance removal services.  These services are mostly provided to protect nearby structures or wooden fences from fire.  If your property was determined to be a fire hazard, the owner/tenant has to get rid of (abate) the hazard by mowing the property, providing defensible space, or cleaning up the brush or trimmings.
