American Medical Response (AMR) and the City partnered together to provide up to $6,000 in funds to award scholarships to deserving Sweetwater High School students to attend Fire and/or EMT classes at Southwestern College, San Diego Miramar College, and/or Palomar College.

The scholarship award winners will have demonstrated a commitment to working with the National City community. The scholarship can be used for uniforms, books, supplies, and/or to pay for college tuition. Each student is required to submit an essay describing why it was important to enroll in Fire, EMT, or Paramedic classes and how the scholarship will help them give back to the National City community.
