AUCTIONS
The Purchasing Division sends surplus City property to auction as needed. A ‘Public Notice’ is published in the Star News at least 10 calendar days prior to auction dates.
DONATIONS OF CITY PROPERTY
The City periodically offers surplus City property for donation to local, 501C3 non-profit organizations. Donations of City property require City Council approval. Eligible organizations are identified through:
- the City’s Business License program, and/or…
- via GuideStar (a national database for non-profit organizations), and/or…
- via the City’s on-line vendor registration database
MAKING DONATIONS TO THE CITY
Occasionally, organizations or private parties may wish to make donations to the City. Donations to the City are governed by City Council Policy #204 (PDF).
