What We Do
The City of National City employs Graffiti Abatement Technicians who provide coverage to our City. Our staff is dedicated to providing timely service when it comes to our City's appearance. Our goal is to respond to service calls within 72 hours of the request.
We also take pride in regularly servicing our parks and major roadways:
- National City Bike Path
- Kimball Park
- El Toyon Park
- Las Palmas Park
- Paradise Creek Park
- Sweetwater Heights Park
Our Graffiti Abatement Technicians document and record each incident on GraffitiTracker. The work is essential to compile the information necessary to apprehend, prosecute and, in turn, obtain restitution from these vandals.
We service all public property within the City of National City. We do not service private property. City code compliance officers must notify private property owners of graffiti on their property and of their responsibility to remove it. Depending on the cooperation of property owners, it could take longer for graffiti to be removed from private properties.
Reward Program
The Neighborhood Services Division, in conjunction with NCPD, is currently working on establishing a Rewards Program for compensation on information leading to the arrest and conviction of graffiti vandals.
