Looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity? We are always looking for TIP volunteers, who provide temporary support until the persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, and neighbors. TIP volunteers are called to emergency scenes to provide immediate emotional support to victims and their families when something traumatic has happened. TIP volunteers go where they are requested by Police or Fire personnel. Some of the victims aided by TIP volunteers are:
•Family members following the death of a loved one
•Family members of a person who has committed suicide
•Victims of crime including rape, assault, robbery and burglary
•Children whose parents have been killed or injured
•Victims of fire and auto accidents
•Disoriented older persons
Please join us for a 1-hour presentation by Outreach Coordinator Suzanne Urban for the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP).
