There will be Public Meetings on Tuesday, December 5 for all three contaminant cleanup projects OU1, OU2, and OU3. hosted by U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
In 1988 this area was acquired by the federal government as a National Wildlife Refuge, and contaminants are still in the soil. Now, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will be cleaning it up, and the public is invited to submit comments until December 15, 2017.
To better inform the public, there will be TWO public meetings on Tuesday, December 5 for all three cleanup projects on Paradise Marsh (OU1), Gunpowder Point (OU2), and the F&G Street Marsh (OU3) all located on the Sweetwater Marsh Unit of the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
Participants are invited to attend either the 1-4 PM meeting or the 6-9 PM meeting, whichever fits schedules best.
Spanish translator will be available with headsets for the entirety of the meetings.
