Public Hearing for the Amended FY 2017-2018 Annual Action Plan

Notice is hereby given by the City of National City for the Amended Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-2018. The Amended Annual Action Plan revises how the City intends to spend HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program’s estimated entitlement and remaining funds from previously completed activities. The Amended Action Plan will address funding for a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Program and entitlement funds received for FY 2017-2018 will go toward activities that address the community development and housing needs of the City. In accordance with the federal regulations at 24 CFR, Part 91, the City of National City is required to prepare and submit an Annual Action Plan for its Housing and Community Development Programs to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

In order to obtain the views of residents, public agencies, and other interested parties, the City of National City has placed a copy of the Amended Annual Action Plan for FY 2017-2018 at the Office of the City Clerk located on the first floor of City Hall, 1243 National City Blvd., National City, CA 91950 during normal hours of operation beginning Monday June 5, 2017. The document will also be available on the City’s website at www.nationalcityca.gov/cdbg-home and the office of Housing & Economic Development. The information will be available for public review for 15 days. Public comment on the Amended Annual Action Plan for FY 2017-2018 can be directed by mail to the City of National City Housing & Economic Development Division, 1243 National City Blvd., National City, CA 91950, by email to apalma@nationalcityca.gov or by fax to (619) 336-4292. The plan will be submitted to HUD within 60 days after the date allocations are announced or no later than August 16, 2017 (whichever comes first).
