This marks the 16th anniversary of the attacks that took the lives of

first responder heroes after rescuing thousands of innocent people.

The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) lost 343.

The New York City Police Department lost 23.

The Port Authority Police Department lost 37.

 Paramedics and EMT's from private EMS units lost 8.

FDNY members who have died post Sept 11th from 

"9/11 cancer and other related illness's"- 147
