The National City Council and Police Department will proudly display its new Police Mobile Command Vehicle to the community. This command vehicle will be used as an operations center to manage critical incidents and community events. The Mobile Command Vehicle was funded by dollars from State and Federal Homeland Security grants and Asset Forfeiture funds.
The acquisition of this vehicle is another example of the City Council’s support and goal of making Public Safety a priority in the City of National City and Chief of Police Adolfo Gonzales’ commitment to providing the latest technology and equipment to better serve our community and to provide the needed tools for the men and women who provide that public safety service.
The Mobile Command Vehicle wil be on display on Tuesday March 3, 2009 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in front of City Hall at 1243 National City Blvd.
