This is to notify you that on Monday, June 9, either an SDG&E® gas crew or contract crew will vent natural gas from a gas pipeline at the intersection of 4th and D Avenue in National City.
The odor of natural gas
At times, you may smell the odor of natural gas and hear a loud, steady noise as we vent natural gas from the pipeline using safe and common techniques. Although this is normal when crews are working, we encourage anyone who has concerns about the smell of gas to call us from a safe location at 1-800-411-7343. We’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What to expect
The project involves digging around the underground pipeline and safely venting natural gas from the pipeline. The pipeline will then be capped and safely abandoned in place.
Your gas service should continue without interruption. If that changes, we’ll contact you ahead of time.
We apologize for any inconvenience to you while we’re performing this work and appreciate your patience and cooperation.
