Today (March 19, 2013) Sweetwater High School, along with the National City Police Department, National City Fire Department and American Medical Response, will conduct an active shooter drill on the campus of Sweetwater High School. In response to the school shooting tragedies that have affected our nation, the drill is designed to refresh and train our Police, Fire, paramedic ambulance provider and Sweetwater High School administrators on the challenges of facing the threat of school shootings. The drill will also activate emergency plans for all participating agencies. The active shooter portion of the drill will begin at approximately 1:20 pm.
