Community HousingWorks will be conducting a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Certified Homebuyer Education Course on December 5, 2009 at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center South Room from 9 am to 5 pm. The class will cover all aspects of buying a home from preparing one’s credit to qualifying for down payment assistance loans available by certain Cities and the County (National City’s program will be available in January 2010.) Participants will receive a First Time Home Buyer Education Certificate for completing the course which is required by the majority of First Time Homebuyer Programs. The course is usually $40.00 per household but will be discounted to $20.00 for National City public service (City) employees and National City residents.
