The Arbor Day Event scheduled for March 28, 2020 has been cancelled and postponed until a further date in light of the World Health Organization (WHO) declaration of a pandemic for coronavirus (COVID 19). This declaration was issued in order to increase awareness and all prevention efforts to limit the spread of the virus. I want to assure you that the City of National City is closely monitoring the situation. While there are currently no confirmed cases in National City, we know this could change over time. Please know the health and well-being of our community remains our top priority.
The City’s Emergency Management office continues to work closely and maintain consistent communication with our local lead agency, San Diego Health & Human Services Agency. San Diego County has a Coronavirus webpage with current information, frequently asked questions, and informational videos answering common questions and concerns about COVID-19 and we’ve created a direct link from the Fire Department homepage which also includes additional safety information.
Thank you for your patience and understanding we will continue to work with our public health partners to provide you with the latest guidance and actions you can take to support a healthy community
