Normally, Police Dispatching requires duty 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Dispatchers may be required to work weekends and different shifts on a rotating basis.

Retention Incentive Program

Full-time Police Dispatcher employees hired during fiscal year 2023, 2024, or 2025 (between July 1st and June 30th), will receive a pro-rated $10,000 stipend in their first paycheck from the City. The pro-rated amount will be based on the remaining portion of the fiscal year following their hire date.
Additionally, full-time Police Dispatcher employees will receive a $10,000 stipend the first full pay period of July 2023, and July 2024.
